Zion National Park in southern Utah is opening for seasonal visitors.

Superintendent Jock Whitworth says the Zion Human History Museum and a bookstore opened Saturday.

In addition, the park’s horse concessionaire, Canyon Trail Rides, resumed offering one- and three-hour rides.

The park’s South Campground with 126 sites will open next Saturday.

Watchman Campground has been open all winter, but campers now have to reserve a site there. It was open on a first-come, first service basis for the winter.

  • Hi All,
My wife Maria and i live in Zion Canyon and work for http://www.zionadventures.com . We are full-time RV’ers in a 34ft 5th wheel parked in the Quality Inn RV park here in Springdale. If anyone needs info on anything about Zion, please feel free to ask on this forum.
We are very active in mountain biking, canyoneering, hiking and some climbing.
Zion is absolutely the best Park, and we have been to most of them in the last 20 years of travels..
