California — Lassen National Forest officials are looking for campground hosts for the upcoming summer season.
Campgrounds at Cherry Hill, Almanor South and Domingo Springs all need volunteer hosts to answer basic questions and perform light maintenance, said Michelle Ahearn, recreation officer for the Almanor Ranger District.
The campgrounds open May 1 and close at the end of November.
Campground hosts receive free camping space and RV hookups in exchange for welcoming visitors, Ahearn said. They work a five-day week that includes weekends.
To submit an application, contact Ahearn at (530) 258-2141.
