Lance is a recipient of two separate Dealer Satisfaction Index (DSI) Awards for 2013 presented to Lance at the RVIA Louisville show by RVDA president Jeff Hirsch. This year the Company was honored with this prestigious award for both their truck camper and travel trailer lines.
Jack Cole, President of Lance Camper had this to say: “We’ve been committed to quality for almost a half a century and this honor not only confirms all of our efforts; but further motivates us to achieve new levels of excellence.”
Lance Camper is known for quality and leading edge designs and production techniques. With extensive customer feedback and interaction with dealers; products evolve based from “on-the-ground” input. The result is products that address customer needs and demands, and dealers’ concerns for quality.
Gary Conley, National Sales Manager for Lance Camper adds: “We are constantly striving to achieve new levels of quality. The input we receive is key in developing products that are timeless. In fact, while we are penetrating new markets and first time buyers, Lance still benefits from word-of-mouth referral. The Company is also proud that we have customers that have owned numerous Lance RVs.”
The DSI survey report data is comprised of the input from dealers from a series of questions related to sales support, territory, design, reliability/quality, competitive price/value, parts support, warranty support and overall dealer communications.
The most “Ultimate Question”, “How likely would you be to recommend this brand to another dealer friend to handle at their dealership?” While the industry average is 32.1%*, all Lance brands score 72.2%*. In addition, All Lance brands are up 25.8%* over last year whereas the industry average is only up 14.4*.
“Lance is a true leader in every respect,” says Conley adding: “The numbers show Lance preference at our dealers, which means happy customers and a great referral base. We expect to see this trend continue well into the future.”
Bigger isn’t necessarily better in the world of recreational vehicles.
Richard and Karen Bowser of Pittsburgh spent a better part of the day Wednesday walking around the grounds of America’s Largest RV Show at the Giant Center in Hershey.
They weren’t searching for a high-end, luxurious recreational vehicle.
They were eyeing the new Winnebago Minnie, a travel trailer being touted for its small size and big character. The Minnie is just one of a slew of new compact recreational vehicles hitting the market.
The light-weight trailers equate into fuel efficiency which is attractive in the market.
Steve Fretz of Fretz RV in Souderton said when fuel prices skyrocketed people traded in their SUVs for Priuses. RV manufacturers could no longer offer big towing trailers, he said.
As a result, manufacturers are seeing interest in the Minnie which sells in bright colors like green and yellow.
Winnebago is debuting the new Winnebago Ultralite at America’s Largest RV Show in Hershey, PA.
The all-new Winnebago Ultralite offers lightweight towability with a touch of class. Everything about the Ultralite 27RBDS feels like home – its queen bed with a luxury memory foam mattress, roomy wardrobe, double shower, solid-surface countertops, large pantry and energy-efficient LED lighting. The aerodynamic shape and enclosed underbelly provide exceptional “wind-slip,” reducing drag and increasing fuel economy, while the Stable-Track axle design smooths out the ride and reduces sway caused by crosswinds or passing traffic.
Simply put, the Ultralite lives up to the quality reputation of its iconic Winnebago name.
Another highlight of the Hershey Show is the SunnyBrook Raven. The wide-open spaces of a true luxury suite are found in the all-new Raven 3600RK fifth wheel. This “home away from home” features a best-in-class bedroom/bathroom suite with a large 60″ shower, solid surface countertops, energy-saving LED lighting and unique back-lighting in several areas to highlight the comfortable interior.
Frameless windows, a keyless entry, an unobstructed storage area, slam latch luggage doors and a color-coordinated roof are all standard on the Raven. Well-insulated to begin with, the Extreme Weather Package provides a whole new dimension. This option provides radiant insulation in the roof and floor, enabling the Raven to reach an amazing R-30+ equivalent insulation value. The Raven makes outdoor adventures a wonderful indoor experience!
Winnebago Industries will also have the full complement of 2014 Winnebago, Itasca, Winnebago Touring Coach and SunnyBrook products on display.
