In order to promote its new page on Facebook, Go RVing Canada recently launched its “Great Gas Give-A-Way” contest for a chance to win $100 worth of gas.

Users are encouraged to go on Facebook’s website, join in on the conversation with other RVers and ‘like’ the new Go RVing Canada Page, according to a news release.

To enter, visit Go RVing Canada’s Facebook Page, click on the ‘Contests’ tab, and fill out the information form. One gas card will be given out every week until Dec. 20, so participants are invited to visit every Monday and enter for an opportunity to win a new gas card.

Go RVing Canada’s new Facebook fan page is being developed to better interact with the Canadian RVing community. This fan page will also help facilitate broadcasting information to fans, as well as create a community of like-minded people, further establishing Go RVing Canada as the destination of all things related to RVing.

Don’t miss this opportunity to attend the highly acclaimed RVers’ Boot Camp program! February 3-5, 2012

Even if you’ve been RVing for years, the Escapees Club RVers’ Boot Camp is an outstanding refresher course.

If you are brand new to RVing, this is a perfect forum for you to learn all the basics. Training includes RV maintenance and operation, tire and weight safety, fire and life safety, RV driving techniques, and much more.

Its intense and highly efficient training curriculum is spiced with humor and memorable hands-on demonstrations. After attending all nine courses (with some food, fun, and entertainment thrown in), you will be a Boot Camp graduate with confidence that will stand the tests of life on the road.

There is still time to sign up for the next event at Escapees North Ranch in Congress, AZ. Located an hour or two from Quartzsite, it’s a great way to put the finishing touch on your visit to the desert social gatherings, flea markets, and the Big Tent Show. To register now, please call 888-757-2582. You can also visit the Boot Camp page at for program schedules and details on upcoming events. There are only a limited number of seats available, so don’t delay!

One person – $125
One couple – $199

This includes all training, handouts, RVer’s Ultimate Survival Guide (CD), two breakfasts, dinner on Saturday, snacks, and social gatherings.

Additional optional services, such as RV driver training, RV weighing by Escapees SmartWeigh, and fire/life safety products, will be available at the event at additional cost.

RV parking is not included in your Boot Camp tuition fee! You will need to pay for parking at North Ranch when you arrive/depart.

You do not need an RV to attend! You can register as a walk-in and stay in a local motel.

Thinking someone left the light on in the bathroom and wondering whether that will drain the RV’s battery by morning. (They did, but it didn’t.) Hearing campers breaking the sacred “quiet after 9 p.m.” rule and imagining they’ll get busted. (They did.) Wondering if the bacon and eggs you bought for tomorrow morning’s breakfast are now, effectively, toast, because you’d been told that the fridge will mysteriously stop working if the RV is parked on even the slightest incline. Or maybe because buying an RV is the landlocked states’ version of saving up for a sailboat. It’s a vacation home wherever you want it, whenever you want it. It’s freedom and security in equal measure. It’s Lewis and Clark with a V-8 engine.
