Grand Design Recreational Vehicle Company today announced its lightweight travel trailers.
The Imagine travel trailer series is the follow up to the firm’s Reflection travel trailers and fifth wheels, flagship Solitude extended stay fifth wheels and popular Momentum toy haulers.
“Following the bar set by these brands, Imagine stays true to the company’s commitment of focusing on the customer to steer design and fuel innovation,” said General Manager Micah Staley.
With floorplans starting well under 6,000 pounds, Imagine travel trailers hit the towing sweet spot of today’s medium duty trucks and SUVs, he added
“We wanted Imagine to not only hit the weight goals, but do it without the compromise that so many feel forced to in the pursuit of lighter weight. Industry leading tank capacities, 30-by-36-inch walk in shower, 60-by-80-inch queen beds and 81-inch interior radius ceilings are just a few of the areas where customers will no longer have to sacrifice,” said Staley.”The early buzz from dealers and customers point to another home run for Grand Design.”
Imagine travel trailers debut on dealers’ lots the first week of August.

Tucson, AZ (Vocus) August 24, 2010 – Beaudry RV Company reports Class A RV sales continuing to rise. “January saw the worst of the recession pass,” says Scott Beaudry of Beaudry RV Company. “When a recession hits, Class A sales are the first to drop. Watching this sector of the RV market rebound is encouraging. It shows that consumers are feeling more confident in the economy and in their own future.”
According to Richard Curtain of RVIA, Class A motorhomes are expected to spike 90% in 2010 and continue to increase into 2011, although the increase for next year is expected to show a more gradual growth of 11%. Beaudry RV Company isn’t the only one to notice the rise in sales, Class A sales tripled in June across the country according to RVIA. With 27,000 units sold, Class A motor homes have reached their highest level in more than two years.
“The Monaco line of Class A RVs has been really popular this year,” says Beaudry. “Consumers are looking for quality and luxury and Monaco delivers both of those. Other popular manufacturers include Forest River and Newmar.
The trend is balanced by the popularity of lightweight travel trailers that have also jumped sales this year. Environmentally minded vacationers are going with the less-is-more philosophy. Both high-end and economical vehicles are stealing the sales this year. Next year, sales may balance out with a more gradual rise including sales of Class B and Class C RVs and fifth wheels.
Beaudry RV Company has been a leader in the RV Industry for over 40 years. Their customer service, parts department and summer events set them apart from other RV companies. They carry an extensive selection of Class A, Class B and Class C RVs, motorhomes, travel trailers and more.

HOLMDEL, N.J. — Just as the RV season shifts into high gear, the Central New Jersey RV Show offers RV enthusiasts all the latest innovations and great bargains on all types of recreational vehicles. Located at Exit 116 on the Garden State Parkway, the PNC Bank Arts Center in Holmdel is the perfect venue to view an incredible selection of motor homes, fifth wheels, travel trailers, expandables and toy hauler RVs.
“This show has always been our favorite place to check out the latest features and technologies you find in today’s amazing RVs,” says Mark Heatherly, an RV-owner who found the perfect model for his family last year at the show. “We bring the whole family, plus our friends, since we love to see all the cool changes made every year.”
With interest rates remaining low, buyers have been taking advantage of incredible prices on the newest RVs, models with more innovations than ever. The RV industry has ramped up production of these bargains, and the selection at the show is enormous. From lightweight travel trailers and expandables built for today’s fuel-efficient vehicles to quadruple-slide, diesel pusher motorhomes, the perfect model RV awaits any prospective RVer.
No longer a niche lifestyle, RVing is actually a less expensive way to vacation with the family compared to the rising costs of flying somewhere, renting vehicles and staying in motels.
The Central Jersey RV Show itself is also a bargain, offering a chance for the RV community to enter absolutely free when they bring a NONperishable food item to donate to the Foodbank of Monmouth and Ocean Counties.
“We consider ourselves fortunate to be able to give back to such a worthy cause,” said Walter Hynes, General Manager at Scott Motor Coach Sales in Lakewood, NJ, one of the dealers participating in the yearly event. “The Foodbank provides thousands of meals and groceries, on a daily basis, to families and individuals in need — and that need has grown tremendously in the last few years.”
Show dates are Friday, April 30th through Sunday, May 2nd, from 10 am to 6 pm each day. The PNC Bank Arts Center is located in Holmdel, Exit 116 on the Garden State Parkway, 15 minutes from Outerbridge Crossing and Staten Island.
So mark your calendars and enjoy this annual RV show while helping a most worthy cause!
