Keystone ultralite BulletKeystone RV’s Bullet ultralite division dealers retailed a record 600 units in July. Bullet is the first Keystone ultra lite product division to reach this milestone, the company announced.

“When we launched the Bullet product line our goal was to create a luxury lightweight unlike anything the industry had seen before” said Bullet Product Manager Brian Hyde. “We focused on features, interior and exterior style, and weight. The enthusiasm our dealers and customers have shown as indicated by July results confirms that we are on the right track. The Bullet product team has been hard at work based on feedback from dealers and retail customers.”

Bullet will debut four new island kitchen floorplans in the premier line at the Keystone RV Open House next week. All will incorporate a 46-inch LED TV.

“Island kitchens are hot right now and we made them even more spectacular by adding 46-inch TVs. These new models deliver a product that is not a me-too,” said Hyde.

Another upgrade timed for open house is the addition of full-depth slides in all Bullet floorplans 24-feet in length and above. Deeper slides enhance the openness of the interior while allowing for larger sofas and dinettes. “This is one of the ways we will continue to keep Bullet ahead of the field,” said Hyde.

Bullet is also focusing on fine-tuning its Pendleton, Ore., production and will soon debut some unique features to the western-built Bullet models as well as several new western-built floorplans.

“Our Bullet sales in the western states have grown significantly this year,” Hyde explained.

KOA Awards Keystone RV to New York Campers

Marcia Maslyn and husband Rich

Marcia Maslyn didn’t think she had a chance of winning a brand new, $40,000 Keystone RV in Kampgrounds of America’s 50th Anniversary Giveaway. But she did everything she could to increase her chances.

“I entered the contest every week online, like it said I could,” said Maslyn, a dedicated camper from Clifton Springs, New York.

That persistence paid off this week when Maslyn was selected from among 250,000 entries to win the New Keystone Vantage RV, provided by Keystone RV Company.

“This is just unbelievable,” Maslyn said. “We’ve had a Keystone Cougar fifth wheel in the past, but we decided to was a bit too big. This new Keystone is going to be so much fun!”

Camping enthusiasts form throughout North America have been entering the KOA contest since last March. Maslyn’s name was randomly selected on November 1st from the quarter million entries.

On Tuesday, November 6, Rob and Rachel Kaiser, owners of KOA franchises in both Medina, New York, and Houghton, New York, made the short drive to Clifton Springs in the Finger Lakes Region of Upstate New York to break the happy news to Maslyn and husband Rich.

“We thought we were dreaming,” Maslyn said. “But, we got up this morning and, sure enough, the balloons were still here. It really happened!”

The Maslyns are dedicated campers, logging thousands of miles on cross-country camping trips.

“We always love our KOA stays,” she said. “And now we’ll get to travel in that beautiful new Keystone RV. I just can’t believe it.”

KOA will be working with Keystone RV Company again in 2013 to give away yet another Keystone RV. Watch the 2013 KOA Directory for contest details.

Kampgrounds of America is celebrating its 50th Anniversary in 2012. KOA, the world’s largest network of family-friendly campgrounds, was born on the banks of the Yellowstone River in Billings, Montana in 1962.
