The sale of recreation vehicles are on the rise, and it doesn’t appear to be slowing down in the New Year. According to Forbes, RVIA President Richard Coon said he expects RV shipments of 335,000 units in 2014, which is 6.1 percent higher than 2013, and means that 2014 is bound to be a promising and intriguing year for RVing.

While other years have brought about improvements to the connectability and efficiency of 5th wheels, many people on Twitter (according to social media analytics tool ViralHeat) predict that 2014 will mark the year of enhancements to the design, comfort, and technology of RVs. With the numerous RV shows around the nation that have already occurred this year, we already have a glimpse into what 2014 holds for RVing, and below you’ll find the top 5 newest RVs, coolest additions and accessories, and expectations for the future of RVing.

1. 2014 Winnebago Travato
This is definitely the year for Winnebago. Debuting at 2014 Chicago Auto Show on Feb. 14, the new Winnebago Travato is a treat for those who want a compact and functional RV. The 20-foot Travato, based on the Ram Promaster chassis, is meant for two and is the newest Class B motorhome on Winnebago’s roster. Some cool features include exterior speakers, an outside-facing TV jack, and on the inside, a full kitchen, full bathroom, LED lighting and a 22-inch TV. The Travato is going for about $85,000. Also on the list of new Winnebago releases is the new Destination, its most luxurious 5th wheel ever, which was released at a December 2013 RV show. Winnebago also recently released the new Trend, Viva!, Forza, and Solei.

2. Thor Motor Coach Axis R.U.V.
Another hot item at all the RV shows this year is the 25.5-foot Axis recreational utility vehicle (RUV) made by Thor Motor Coach. It is essentially a luxury SUV and motorhome combined to form a compact, comfortable and stately Class A motorhome built on a Ford E-series chassis. The Axis has a single slide-out, removable coffee table, swivel captain chairs, and a unique double-hinged “extender-room” which extends the bathroom into the living room.

3. The 2014 Little Guy T@G Max
This teardrop-style trailer, an update from the classic 1940’s teardrop trailer, is the newest of the Little Guys collection. The T@G Max features the signature retro look, a queen-size bed, Prius towing capabilities, and is made of 100 percent aluminum, all for about $10,995. Little Guy also just released a Limited Edition teardrop that is made of antique stained birch wood.
4. Livin’Lite 2014 Game Day Trailer
From the maker of ultra-lightweight trailers, comes the granddaddy of them all – the Livin’Lite Game Day Trailer. This custom trailer boasts two built-in bars, a his and hers restroom, three 70-inch televisions, two Xbox systems, two football sofas, stainless steel grill, stainless steel kegerator, and a sound system all packed into a 7×24-foot space, providing the “ultimate tailgating experience.” Game days will never be the same.

5. Outdoor kitchens and attached decks
The newest addition to luxury in trailers and fifth wheels are outdoor kitchens and walkout decks. Most outdoor kitchens released this year feature a sink, 120 volt refrigerator and stove top and grill, such as the 2014 Wildwood Heritage Glen 312QBUD. Another emerging trend is attached decks, or walkout porches, that are a floor level with the living space. Long gone are the days of tarp and tents, since these new French doors opening to a covered porch allow lucky RV owners to live in the life of luxury. Some of these side porches fold down from a slide out and, while traveling, the closed deck protects the sliding glass doors.
