Carefree RV Resorts is proud to announce its collaboration with Jacobsen Homes, OmniTours and Norwegian Cruise Lines for the first annual Carefree’s Got Talent show.

The show will be held Thursday, March 29th at 2 p.m. at Red Oaks Carefree RV Resort in Bushnell, Florida.  There will be over 20 acts participating in this finale, each representing different Florida Carefree RV Resorts.

“Preliminary rounds of competition have been taking place at Carefree RV Resorts throughout Florida since the middle of February. So now it’s time to see the best of the best perform for our $5,000 grand prize,” said Dave Napp, CEO of Carefree RV Resorts.

“We have never held a contest like this before and want to give a big thanks to our title sponsors Jacobsen Homes, OmniTours and Norwegian Cruise Lines. Carefree has worked with Jacobsen Homes for years now and we are looking forward to our new relationship with Omni and Norwegian.”

Competitors in the contest are all residents of 46 Florida-based Carefree properties and will be traveling to Bushnell from as far away as the Keys just to get their chance at the grand prize.  There will be a runner up prize for second place and one lucky participant will be chosen at random to receive a seven day, all expense paid, Caribbean cruise for two donated by OmniTours and Norwegian Cruise Lines.

The event will offer free parking, free admission, free food, free informative RV seminars and entertainment for the entire family. Anyone who attends will be able to enter a raffle for a flat panel TV with no purchase necessary. With over 4 acres of the show under roof, weather will not have an impact on the expo.

All 397 national parks across the country will offer free admission from Jan. 14 through 16 to commemorate Martin Luther King Jr. Day.

There’s something for everyone at a national park, even in the middle of winter. Choices include snow shoe hikes, canoe trips, campfire programs, film festivals, battle reenactments, and music jams. It is also a great time of year to view wildlife such as bison in Yellowstone National Park in Wyoming or grey whales at Point Reyes National Seashore in California. The National Park Service will also waive admission fees on 14 other days in 2012 – National Park Week (April 21 to 29), Get Outdoors Day (June 9), National Public Lands Day (Sept. 29), and the weekend of Veterans Day (Nov. 10 to 12).
