Kingston, Oklahoma, According to Lake Texoma State Park Manager Richard Keithley, there has been some confusion concerning the operation of the park now that the Pointe Vista development has begun to move forward.

While the demolition of the old lodge and cabins will be continuing over the next couple of months, the park and all the amenities it offers are still available for boaters, campers and fishermen. The park is located just west of the Roosevelt Bridge off of Highway 70.

The park has 187 RV campsites, the majority of those being full hookups, and has more than 200 tent sites available on any given night.

The RV and tent sites are located in five different areas throughout the park. The RV sites available are either modern (with sewer, water, and electric) or semi-modern (water and electric only). Six open pavilions are available to rent for family gatherings and other outings. There are several day use areas with picnic areas, grills and great access to the lake, via six different boat ramps scattered around the park.

Basic rates for the campsites are $23 for modern sites, $20 for semi-modern sites and $12 for tent sites. For more information contact the park office at (580) 564-2566.
