Thank you for following the issue on the axle recall I hope this really gets out to everyone fast it needs to be followed up on.There is alot of campers left on permenant sites not to be moved but when traded in afew years later a person may buy it to pull it and not know about the recall.I have a 2011 28 foot tbud bought in May of 2010and pull it.On the fifth trip and only about 3300 miles on it and 2 weeks after the warranty ran out my family and I was on a trip and the front axle came loose and threw the camper off the road in a turn.Thank god it was at a low speed and hit the guardrail bouncing it back on the road and we got stopped. We got it temporarly fix and finished the trip.It wore out all four tires so there went 400.00 dollars but we was reimburst for most of it after complaining. After getting home and dropping off the camper at the dealers the fight was on.the 2011 season was ruined and we got it back late August.Forrest River did replace the 2 inch axles with 3 inch alxes and new leafsprings not just the ubolts.it was done under warranty after theating a lawsuit considering what could have happened. It was a fight but I did the footwork myself with some help from my dealer. Thanks Wolfes camper sale of Parkersburg W.V.
I feel as if I should’ve been reimbusted some small amount of money amount for the lose of time and use while still making a payment on something out of use.A Forrest River tech did admit to having problems with the axles but was not sufficent enough for a recall.Email me with any help mkocher5@hotmail.com Thanks Mike
