Anita Johnson and the “folks” at her campsite are just dying to meet Jimmy Buffett.
And if Mr. Margaritaville knew Johnson and her crew, he’d probably want to meet them, too.
From April through November, the 50-year-old New Hope resident and her husband, Bobby, work as camp hosts at the Natural Chimneys Campground in Mount Solon.
Each year, starting on Labor Day, Johnson begins decorating their campsite for Halloween. She always picks a different theme. Once, it was cowboys and Indians, another time it was Casablanca and one year Bonnie and Clyde.
This year, her decorations were bigger – and a little drunker – than ever.
A longtime fan of Buffett, Johnson created a Halloween version of the singer’s signature Margaritaville.

Camp Mack’s River Resort is about as far east as you can go and still be in Polk County.
Those who are up for the drive find a rustic, yet modernized setup at this fishing haven that has been nestled along the Kissimmee River for more than a hundred years.
Although Camp Mack is known for its fishing opportunities, owners Robert “Bobby” Eddy and Billy Farris are quick to point out that this is no fish camp. They have spent years turning this little section of Old Florida into a family-friendly destination with some upscale amenities, by fish camp standards.
“We wanted to attract the world-class bass tournaments,” Eddy says.
To do that, Camp Mack needed to accommodate more fishermen on the premises. So what once was a rather primitive setup, with three cabins and a country store, became the River Resort, which offers about 215 RV sites, some of which are available for sale, eight rental cabins and a motel.
