>You spend a bundle on a new RV, a boat, or a trailer, and you want to park it at home.

But Normandy Park, WA may soon put the brakes on that, saying if your neighbors can see it, it’s gotta go.

Weslyn Owens likes the view of the Sound out her front window. Or at least, most of it.

“You can’t see the kids walking by, you can’t see the runners walking by,” she said.

That’s what happened when her next door neighbor parked his mammoth RV in his driveway.

>Whether it’s removing fallen limbs from trails or checking restrooms for vandalism, Maryanne Richards takes her job as a campground caretaker seriously.

Richards, 65, is one of five winter campground caretakers hired by the Roseburg BLM to protect against vandalism and look after the parks.
