>In a lawsuit filed Dec. 10 against Fleetwood Enterprises, Freightliner, Freedom RV Center and Truck Centers in Troy, a Litchfield, IL couple is demanding a refund of $152,271.47 or a replacement motor home of equal or greater value.

Shortly after Madeline and Jarrell Sutton purchased a brand-new 2001 Fleetwood Bounder Dec. 19, 2000, it was so full of problems, they were without use of their RV for more than seven months.

The Suttons allege that immediately after the purchase, they experienced more than 200 problems with the motor home including malfunctions of the engine, transmission, hydraulic system and electrical systems.

Since purchasing the motor home the Suttons have been virtually unable to use the motor home without experiencing major coach or chassis problems, according to the complaint. Full Story…

>After listening for years to a steady grumble of complaints, Torrance has begun looking for ways to restrict on-street parking for motor homes and trailers.

The city will hold a public meeting on the issue Thursday. Its planners hope to get a better sense of the problem and draw out ideas for solving it.

Cities across the country have searched for ways to make sure motor homes and trailers don’t stay parked on their streets long enough to gather dust. Neighbors have complained that they detract from their views or make it impossible to see around a corner. Full Story…
