>Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground and Disney’s Vero Beach Resort are closed. Guests with reservations at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground arriving from September 24 through September 27 are being relocated to other resorts. Guests holding reservations during these same dates for Disney’s Vero Beach Resort will have the option, if they wish, to relocate to a resort at the Walt Disney World® Resort. Guests who have scheduled reservations at either one of these resorts arriving before Tuesday, September 28 are encouraged to call (407) W-DISNEY.

>About two dozen RVers from all across the country will arrive in their recreational vehicles and set up camp at the Windy Acres Campground in Westhampton, Mass.

But they won’t be on a typical vacation. The Care-A-Vanners as they’re called will be working on one of three Pioneer Valley Habitat for Humanity duplexes.

Care-a-Vanners travel in their RVs from Habitat work site to work site around the country. They are often married couples from a variety of backgrounds, according to Deborah A. Callahan, chairwoman of the Pioneer Valley group.

“What is huge is the amount of work they produce and the continuous number of days (they work.)” Callahan said.

>The owner of Riverside RV Park objected to a proposed increase in a wastewater fees for RV Park owners at the City of Bandera’s public hearing on the proposed fiscal budget for 2004-05 on Sept. 16.

Jerry Russe said the increased charge for wastewater singled out RV Park owners and that amount of money would make little difference to the city’s overall budget picture. He added RV’ers spend significant amounts of money in the city. Full Story…
